With more WTF moments then I can count I am ready to increase the joyful moments in my life, what about you?
I am ready to find more things to celebrate. Celebrating doesn't require a party, gifts or even a plan. I can be as simple as incorporating gratitude in small, everyday moments that we haven't given much thought to in the past.
Help your family get out of the state of fear and into the state of joy Far too often we focus on what went wrong and what problems are just over the horizon. It's actually what our brains are wired to do to keep us safe. Because we no longer find ourselves fighting for basic necessities, our brains now look for other possible threats, most of which are really not threats at all. The important thing to know here is that your awareness of this brain function now gives you more choices to move your brain out of fear and into a productive and joyful space. The fastest way I know how to shift into joy is with gratitude! This shift into gratitude and out of worry is paramount to help ourselves and our kids experience more joy and happiness in life and in doing so, it will also increase our ability to cope and find solutions when things don't go as planned.
Here are two simple ways to incorporate gratitude into your daily routine.
1: Celebrate the small stuff
You've heard the phrase "don't sweat the small stuff" well why not increase joy and happiness in your life by celebrating the small stuff!?!
Each time something is going right or your child, pause for a moment to recognize the moment and give gratitude. This can be as simple as taking a moment of gratitude while sipping your morning coffee. This helps to raise your vibration and creates a joyful moment. It doesn't get much easier than this!
2: Family Gratitude
Experience joy together. Pick a time each day for family gratitude. For example, each evening at dinner or before bed, you can all go around and say something you are all grateful for.
You could do this at breakfast or even write them down in a journal. Or you could create a gratitude jar to read at the end of the week. This can be as simple or creative as you wish. Choose something that your family will enjoy.
I would love to hear what ideas you have to add more joy in your life!
Cheers,
Marisa
